Boston, MA, March 12, 2015 – DWC ERISA Consultants, LLC (DWC) is pleased announce that, effective March 4, 2015, Destel-Bergen Corporation (Destel) is merging its retirement plan administrative services practice into DWC. DWC and Petaluma, California-based Destel have worked closely over several months to ensure a smooth transition for all clients.
Each Destel client will not only continue to work with the same consultant to maintain the high level of client service they have come to expect, but they and their other professional service providers will have access to a more comprehensive suite of plan administration, consulting and management services. DWC and its team of experienced professionals are well positioned and eager to support Destel’s clients and continue to provide quality plan compliance, consulting and government reporting services.
Similar to other professional services firms, all DWC clients are assigned a service team that includes a primary consultant, a team leader and a partner to ensure quality through a rigorous peer-review process as well as proactive and continuous service from a team of professionals who can help their clients navigate a complex regulatory framework to meet their unique needs. Each member of the DWC team is carefully selected based on his or her industry knowledge and ability to think beyond the conventional wisdom to provide exceptional client service.
DWC requires each member of its professional staff to obtain certain credentials from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), to become enrolled to represent clients before the IRS, and to achieve subject matter expertise in nearly 300 specific areas. According to Adam Pozek, partner at DWC, “We are especially pleased that Destel’s Lauri Carlson will be joining our team. With 20 years of experience and several professional credentials, she will be a great addition and will facilitate a smooth transition for her clients.”
Joost Revis, co-owner of Destel, said, “DWC is a top notch third party administrative firm with a long history of providing quality service. The added resources they bring to the table will only improve the service our clients receive.” Pozek echoed those sentiments, “Destel’s commitment to providing knowledgeable, cost-effective service to retirement plan sponsors makes our firms a natural fit, and we look forward to continuing that tradition.”
DWC is a leading professional services firm, providing consulting, compliance and government reporting services for almost 800 employers across the country that sponsor retirement plans for their employees. DWC's services are tailored to match the specific needs of each individual client, and we have a long history of partnering with our clients’ other professional advisors to create an integrated and cohesive experience.
